News: Bit.Trip Creators Working On 3DS Title

Gaijin Games, cult studio behind the Bit.Trip series, have confirmed they're working on a 3DS title, aimed for launch...

While Gaijin Games are currently adored by a devoted core of gamers for the awesome Bit.Trip series on WiiWare, the studio may be branching out with the impending release of Nintendo's next system.

Speaking with Nintendojo, the developer confirmed that a 3DS title is already being drawn up.

"[Gaijin Games] just recently got our 3DS dev kit, and we're working on a 3DS project. But we're not quite ready to say exactly what it is yet. It will be a Gaijin awesome game... It's not totally decided, but we'll probably go retail."

As for when the game will see the light of day, Gaijin's Mike Roush seemed keen to get it out the door as close to the console's launch as possible.

"The smart company would put [the game] out near launch, let's put it that way."

Gaijin have already produced four well-received games in the Bit.Trip series on WiiWare. The fifth title, Bit.Trip Fate is due to release on the service later this year.
