Details on the fifth title in the popular WiiWare BIT.TRIP series have been announced and this time it'll be a shooter.
The BIT.TRIP series began in early 2009 and now Gaijin Games have revealed details of the fifth title, which will be the series' penultimate game. All of the BIT.TRIP titles have been based on different game genres, such as puzzle, action and rhythm, with a general theme running through them along with the main protagonist Commander Video.
BIT.TRIP FATE will be a shooting game in which players move Commander Video around the screen using the Nunchuck and fire by pointing the Wii Remote at the screen, with support for the Wii Zapper also being promised. Much like the other titles in the series music plays a key part and power-ups and enemies will appear in tune to the music.
Other characters from WiiWare titles will also be making an appearance in this game. Team Meat's protagonist from Super Meat Boy and Robotube Games' Mr. Robotube will both make an appearance in BIT.TRIP FATE. Additionally Commander Video will be a playable character in Super Meat Boy.
Gaijin Games have yet to announce a release date for BEAT.TRIP FATE but the trailer can be viewed below.
