Activision acquire Bizarre Creations, developers of Project Gotham Racing...

Activision have acquired developers Bizarre Creations, known for Project Gotham Racing and Geometry Wars.

The deal will let Activision publish all of Bizarre Creations' games, while current projects (such as Project Gotham Racing 4 and Geometry Wars Galaxies) will be unaffected. Bizarre Creations will carry on as if nothing was different, and will have control over their projects. With one major difference:

"Well, we're no longer tied to just one platform for starters. Our future titles can be on whatever we please - we are a truly multiplatform studio now. Of course that doesn't mean that we'll be forced to make a port of every game to every console in existence... we simply have that option available to us."

Bizarre Creations have also announced that they are working on two new games - a racing game and a character game. We will bring you more details on these when they are fully announced (and if they are on a Nintendo platform).
