News: Blast Works To Have WiiConnect24 Features

The blockiest game on the Wii has been pushed back to Q1 2008 to incorporate online elements.

Blast Works: Build, Fuse & Destroy is a Wii update of TUMIKI Fighters, a 3D abstract scrolling shooter which was originally released for the PC. You are a block-ship (for want of a better word) and you must shoot down enemy blocks, whose ruined ships can be collected and used as shields and weapons for your own ship. The Wii version will include 2-player co-op, ship and level-editors and Wii controls.

Majesco recently announced, alongside confirmation that their Q3 sales had dipped, that Blast Works has been delayed to Q1 2008, but for a damn good reason. WiiConnect24 features are to be incorporated into the final game. This means that players will be able to exchange custom ships, levels and there will even be a type of online leaderboard amongst friends. God bless Majesco.
