News: Bookworm For DSiWare

Popcap Games' first title has hit DSiWare for the UK and Ireland.
The worlds most popular word game is now available to download for gamers in the UK and Ireland for 500 points. The game, which has been downloaded over 100 million times since it's release in 2005 makes it the most popular word game out there. Bookworm is also one of PopCaps most successful franchises, with it being available on 10 different platforms. With the title being available on the DS, some changes where made to make use of the consoles features and overall a better experience to play.
Speaking about the launch of the title, General Manager Paul Breslin of the European Headquarters went said:
"We are delighted to bring Bookworm to DSiWare in Europe. At PopCap, we work to make our games accessible for anyone, everywhere while customizing the experience for each new device. It's a big ambition but every new platform release brings us one step closer."
Bookworm has the player holding the DS bookstyle, and has you link letters together to form words from a series of tiles on a grid. Naturally the longer the word that has been created, the more points will be awarded. Gem tiles are included that will then offer bonuses when used. Also making an appearance is Burning tiles for getting rid of useless tiles and boosting your score. Along with these are Special tiles thgat appears depending on your performance. If you continiously get high scoring words green, sapphire, gold and diamond tiles will appear that will drastically boost a word's score.
Bookworm will be available next week to download in the US.
