EA have just shared some Boom Blox sales figures, and they appear to be pretty happy about them.

Boom Blox was released back in May to a rather surprisingly positive reception. Gamers and critics alike praised the game for its fresh innovation and its unique, original gameplay and concepts.

In an investor conference held yesterday, EA revealed that Boom Blox has sold more than 450,000 copies since its launch and is continuing to sell well, meeting the publisher's expectations. We'd imagine that Mr. Spielberg should be very happy too.

While they didn't specify, the numbers are most likely regarding worldwide sales. This is yet another game that proves that first week sales aren't the indicator for whether a game will truly succeed or not.
