EA confirm a follow-up to this year's critically-acclaimed block-smasher.

Straight from a Variety article comes confirmation of a neat piece of news. Hit Wii game Boom Blox released earlier this summer to glowing reviews, and didn't do a bad stint in the charts either. The original was the first game Steven Spielberg contracted to work on with EA.

While Electronic Arts LA will again handle developing the sequel, it's unclear whether the Hollywood director will return to take the reins of brainstorming. It's unlikely considering the original idea will probably not be diversed from too much. What EA have confirmed however, is that many people from across the globe will be collaborating on Boom Blox 2 (working title).
