Nintendo has announced that the European release of Boom Street has been brought forward to the last week of 2011. The Wii game previously set for early January will now release on December 28th.

Boom Street is an interactive board game that challenges players to build up the biggest fortune possible - think more Monopoly than Mario Party. The unique selling point is that it brings together the characters and locations of the Mario and Dragon Quest universes.

The Square-Enix series is well established in Japan, but Boom Street is the first iteration to be released in Europe. Unsurprisingly, Nintendo is acting as publisher.
