Nintendo have revealed some very interesting information about their tightly under-wraps dual-screen portable console, code-named "Nintendo DS". Update: Konami to create software for the Nintendo DS!. Click On!

Nintendo have unveiled technical details regarding the Nintendo DS, their dual-screen portable- set to complement the GameCube and Game Boy Advance. They revealed that the console's two TFT LCD screens will be aligned top-to-bottom, and can merge into one screen. The games will be stored on thin memory cards, which have far lower production costs than a CD- that may or may not be similar to those found for the Game Boy Advance hardware. Also, Nintendo revealed that Shigeru Miyamoto will unveil all-new titles for the console at E3, as many expected- as well as details on third-party software and the platform's wireless functions. The console will use rechargable batteries, not unlike the Game Boy Advance SP.

Also unveiled today was the fact that Konami will fully support the platform, with titles already in development.
