Now in its second year Britain's Best Nintendo Gamer seeks to find the country's best gamer by putting hopeful contestants to the test. After a series of local heats in Game and Gamestation stores across the country today saw the Grand Final take place in London in which the 16 finalists played against each other for the coveted title.
Each of the contestants had played New Super Mario Bros. Wii during the earlier rounds but today they had their first go at the upcoming Goldeneye 007 game. The final was split into four heats and the winners of each played for the first place prize, which was a trip to New York (along with other prizes along the way).
After an intense finale the young Connor Duffy was victorious and proved that age doesn't necessarily mean superiority. We had a chance to speak to Connor about the event and his reactions to winning and the interview will be available soon. A detailed report of the event will be posted and in the coming days we'll be posting interviews with a variety of people who attended so be sure to stay tuned.
N-Europe would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Connor on his victory and wish him all the best in the future.
