News: Bye Bye Afterburner

Triton Labs' solution to the original Game Boy Advance's lighting problems has been discontinued. More details inside.

The Afterburner, Adam Curtis's DIY back-light kit for the original Game Boy Advance, will no longer be available to the public. The kit enabled gamers to attach a back-light under the screen of the Game Boy Advance, solving the handheld's lighting problems which dogged many of the original GBA titles. The lighting kit was an immediate success, it received rave reviews, which led to Curtis's DIY kit being in high demand.

Unfortunately for Curtis, the advent of the Game Boy Advance SP, and it's built in back-light, was the beginning of the end for the Afterburner. Today's announcement means that the Afterburner is not for sale, and also that no support service will be available. The team here at Cube-Europe would like to thank and congratulate Adam on his work on the Afterburner.
