News: Capcom Announce New Wii Fighting Game

Capcom have confirmed that they'll be bringing Tasunoko Vs. Capcom, a new fighting game, to the Wii in Japan this December.

Capcom may not be ready to give Wii owners Street Fighter IV just yet, but this could be the next best thing. Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes is an arcade brawler which sees characters from Japanese animation studio Tatsunoko Productions and the Capcom universe clashing for fun and combos.

The title will feature more characters than the original arcade version, and even more exciting is the news that Capcom are working on localising Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom for North America. Could a European release be on the cards?

Accompanying a host of scans and screenshots, Capcom have launched the official website for Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom in Japan, confirming the appearances of Street Fighter's Ryu and Chun-Li as playable characters.
