In the latest issue of Famitsu, it was revealed that Capcom have an exclusive Wii adventure game in the works. More tidbits from the magazine too, and some scores.
The once titanic adventure genre has been maligned in recent years, but Capcom is making a stab at it with their Wii-exclusive Treasure Island Z. Using your Wiimote to guide your character on his travels, and tackle puzzles, it instantly conjures up recollections of those cherished classic PC point-and-clicks. The art style loks bright and cute, as you can see from a scan we stole from the NeoGAF forums:
Other new information from the magazine:
- Namco is releasing a new SRPG for the DS, this May, named SD Gundam G Generation Cross Drive
- New vocational DS games have been announced; Japanese gamers can now learn to drive, investigate crime scenes (handy!), speak and write 'beautfiul' Japanese, and train their brain... again. And to de-stress, play some female kickabout with Koenji Girls' Soccer 2.
- Review verdicts compose of Crayon Shin-chan (29/40), Bomberman Story (27/40), Dragonball Z Harukanaru Goku Densetsu (27/40), the exceptionally titled Negima!?: Chou Mahora Taisen Kattoiin, Keiyaku Shikkou Dechai Masuu (24/40), all for the DS. The Wii's Eyeshield 21 received 24/40.
