Capcom have finally stated their intentions to release the highly anticipated Japanese adventure game in overseas regions.
Despite the monumental success of the Monster Hunter brand in Japan, the games have garnered only mild success in the west. It was never entirely clear that Capcom would release the latest main entry in the franchise - Monster Hunter 3 on Wii - in the US or Europe at all.
But adventure fans can breathe a sigh of relief. In a recent conference, the company spoke of their future business aims, which included achieveing success overseas with their games:
"There is no significant change in Capcom's strategy, and we will primarily release game titles for PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii. In addition, we plan to release our leading titles overseas to acquire game users, as the overseas market for Wii is extensive.
One of our leading titles is 'Monster Hunter 3 (tri-).' If we can gain recognition of this product in the European and North American markets, our market strategy will see a noticeable change. Meanwhile, we are reviewing the possibility of releasing new titles besides 'Ace Attorney' for Nintendo DS."
So there's pretty much a safe bet that the Monster Hunting will go on in Blighty! The game is set to release this summer in Japan.
