News: Capcom losing money

Capcom has announced that they expect to lose 12.7 billion yen ($103 million U.S dollars) for the fiscal year ending March 2003

Capcom had previously announced a profit of 3.8 billion yen by March 2003. A spokesperson from Capcom claims that this loss is due to a past 23.1 billion yen debt associated with the company's real estate.

Rumours are now going that any big company could just buy out Capcom, and turn it into a second party. Chances of this happening anytime soon are low, but it would be nice to see Capcom take over rare's place!
