Our german friends at GameFront reported that Hideki Kamiya from Capcom announced the company has now definitely decided to stop development of Dead Phoenix. He did bring some good news by saying that the folks over at Production Studio 4 are working on a new title, which might the engine originally designed for Dead Phoenix.

Hideki Kamiya continued saying that he is thinking of releasing Viewtiful Joe for the PS2. The reason for this is because he'd like to see more people playing the game. However, a decision has not been made as of yet.
