One of Konami's most famous franchises gets a film deal, with Resident Evil's director at the helm!

Crystal Sky Pictures has bought the movie rights to the Castlevania franchise. The film will be directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, director of Alien vs. Predator and other video-game turned film Resident Evil.

Focusing on the origins of Dracula and the uprising of the Belmont Clan, the film will go into production summer next year. No casting details have yet been announced.
