Nintendo are afraid that releasing the special edition Resident Evil 4 controller may cause parents to point fingers at video game companies for violence, but Wild Things Interactive don't seem to mind.
Ever since NubyTech first revealed the special edition chainsaw controller, to accompany Capcom's Resident Evil 4, people have been talking about it for all different reasons. Recently Nintendo stated that they will not be bringing the controller over to the UK, after many previous cases of parents blaming video game companies for their children's violence. However there is good news for people wishing to purchase the controller, Wild Things Interactive are bringing it the UK!
The controller, which looks like a blood splattered chainsaw (well, almost) was released in Japan to mixed reactions. Despite this Wild Things Interactive are adamant to release it in the UK.
"The hype surrounding the Resident Evil 4 Chainsaw Controller is immense, with the specialist gaming press and Internet already buzzing with rumours. This is one of the most exciting peripherals in the world today and we are absolutely thrilled to be bringing it to the UK market." said Howard Jacobson, MD of Wild Things Interactive UK.
"We are incredibly excited about offering the much talked about Resident Evil 4 Chainsaw Controller to the European market. Fans all over the world deserve a chance to have this wonderfully gory weapon in their hands to conquer the RE4 game." said Paul Chen, the President and COO of NubyTech Inc.
No release date was given, and the closest thing was a "coming soon" but it seems logical that it would be released just before, or at the same time, as the game.
