Analysis:
After a couple of slight hiccups with the gaining of some actual charts figures, we're back and should be here regularly, every week. As you can see, most of the top 10 is brand new, with only the monsters of Pokemon and DMC2 able to keep themselves in. You may remember my predictions from the last set of charts, with Fusion, Final Fantasy Tactics, FBZ and ZOE2 all on my hit list. I'll try not to gloat too much, especially since I got the top spot wrong. Under-estimating Dragon Ball Z was definately a mistake.

In terms of Nintendo, Fusion is in a somewhat disappointing position, but being released at the same time as FFT, DBZ and ZOE2 is bound to have a minor impact on the sales of any game. Pokemon is still hanging in, and the total sales are proof of it's popularity. Don't be too worried by the low GBA sales, those figures are for the week prior to the GBA SP release, and many people were of course waiting for the sexy new handheld.

Next week should be a little less hectic, the big names already seem to be out, and, if memory serves me correctly, nothing huge is due out. Interest in the next charts is mostly confined to seeing how these new hits go. Judging from these charts, DBZ keeping the top spot is a pretty safe bet, in fact, the top three all look pretty secure. Japan is never predictable though, so you'll have to tune in next week to find out for sure.
