The Little Robot That Could prepares for its American release with the launch of its official website.

In advance of its February 6th US launch date, the official Chibi-Robo website is now live. The game, part action-platform and part puzzle, has players guiding the efforts of a tiny robot that only wants to make its owner's lives happier. While the 3-inch robot loves to clean, players can expect to perform a variety of tasks while utilizing a variety of upgrade attachments and yes, costumes.

Having already recieved favorable reviews in Japan (as well as glowing hands-on previews from Western journalists) the game's announced American release nevertheless came as a pleasant surprise. Perhaps the influence of the project's patron saint, a certain Mr. Miyamoto, had something to do with it. Almost cancelled at one point, Chibi-Robo found a big-time supporter in the creator of Mario and Zelda who made sure the small development team would have the time and resources to bring their vision to life.

The little robot's next stop will be Europe later in the year. In a recent announcement, NOE has confirmed that European gamers can expect to get their hands on their own Chibi-Robo in May (tentative date May 26).
