News: Chrono Trigger Heading to US Virtual Console

Square Enix's SNES classic Chrono Trigger is heading to the American Virtual Console service next week.

Fans of the classic SNES RPG Chrono Trigger will be thrilled to hear that it is making its way onto the Wii's Virtual Console. Unfortunately at present only an American release date has been announced but hopefully Square Enix will release it on the European market soon.

Chrono Trigger represents a collaboration behind some of the biggest names in the games industry, including Yuji Horii who created the Dragon Quest series, Akira Toriyama who created the Dragon Ball franchise and the creators of Final Fantasy.

In the game you must travel through time to rescue your companion after a newly developed teleportation device malfunctions and causes havoc. Chrono Trigger has been praised for its storyline, music and gameplay so gamers are in for a treat when it is released on the American Virtual Console service on May 16th.
