Are Nintendo Europe planning on merging their Stars Catalogue?

Our eagled eyed readers have spotted the Nintendo of Japan 'Club Mario' logo on Nintendo Europe's Stars Catalogue pages. Both schemes are the same - sites where Nintendo fans can redeem points vouchers found free with Nintendo hardware and software for Nintendo themed items and downloads.

Historically however, Club Mario has seen a far better quality in merchandise available, namely customised controllers, games, toys and clothing. Whereas on the rare occaisons the Stars Catalogue was updated with cool stuff, it ran out in minutes. We know you'll be able to link your VIP 24:7 account to your Wii Shop Channel, but are Nintendo planning on merging the two?
