Satoru Iwata confirms that Nintendo intend to release large-scale AR cards in the near future.

When the 3DS was released in Japan last month fans discovered that if you print off your own augmented reality cards their size will dictate the size of the image shown. A recent, untranslated, Iwata Asks confirms that Nintendo plan to release large-scale AR cards in the near future.

GoNintendo report that while details remain scarce at the moment the cards will apparently be offered to Club Nintendo members in Japan soon. These will most likely also hit Western territories too but stay tuned to N-Europe for more information.
