Treyarch has confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops for the Nintendo Wii will have a specific headset and feature Voice Chat.
Dan Suarez, Executive Producer of Call of Duty: Black Ops, has confirmed that the title will have its own specific headset as well as featuring Voice Chat and Patching. Speaking to Gamertag Radio Mr. Suarez stated that they have been working with Nintendo to implement these features, features that are often overlooked on the Wii.
Treyarch has previously stated that they intend to make the Wii version of Call of Duty: Black Ops as close to the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 versions as possible, rather than just making a cheap cash-in. Mr. Suarez also acknowledged the huge Wii online community and hopes that they can do fans of the series justice.
Call of Duty: Black Ops is due out on the 9th of November so we'll have to wait until then to see if the game lives up to Treyarch's promises.
