News: Conduit Gets Slight Delay In Australia

Sega holds Wii's summer blockbuster off for a little longer down-under...

If you reside in Australia and were hoping to get your fix of first person shooter action on Wii come June 25th, Sega may have deflated your balloon somewhat. The publisher's latest official release list has confirmed High Voltage Software's The Conduit has been pushed back to July 16th.

No specific reason was given for the decision on Sega's part, but the rest of the world shouldn't worry too much about a spreading delay - the game was confirmed to have 'gone gold' earlier last week.

Our Australian readers will have to wait that bit longer to square off against the world over online deathmatches.

The highly anticipated FPS sees players take control of the mysterious Agent Ford to fight against an alien invasion and government conspiricy. The Conduit features a robust and slick online interface which allows intense, 12-player matches with Wii Speak support. To hear what we thought of the single player campaign, check out N-Europe's preview of the game from earlier in the year.

The Conduit is on track for release on June 23rd in the US and June 26th in Europe.
