Square-Enix reports on the Revolution version of Crystal Chronicles! Updated: Or do they?

President of Square Enix, Youichi Wada, has commented on the upcoming Revolution incarnation of the title, released previously on the GameCube. Nothing has been heard of this title for a while, despite a Revolution version being the first third-party title to be announced for Nintendo's upcoming platform.

Saying the game would feature "magnificent graphics and an intense use of the revolutionary control of the platform," online capabilities were touted, as well as a new, deeper plot (which the GameCube version was severely lacking in).

Finally, Wada said the game would be available in the America by the end of the year, meaning it will be released just around the system's launch time! Expect much more on this game at E3!

Update: New information has arisen online which sheds doubt on the previous report. A Square-Enix spokesperson has told gaming site Eurogamer that "the online reports are incorrect. No new information has been disclosed since the official announcement last May." Could this be an example of new information which shouldn't have been released yet, or false information which shouldn't have been released at all? It just seems strange to us this would have all been made up...
