Getting bored of the Wii's white? Well now you can make it any colour you want and pop your favourite design onto it.
A new website has been launched that allows you to customise your console to your heart's content. The website Aliens Stole My Console allows you to customise the console's colour, design and much more. Described as "Pimp My Car for gaming" it plans to offer a brand new level of customisation in a gaming-rich environment.
The company will dismantle the console and coat each individual component several times with materials that are UV resistant, durable and won't scuff easily or fade. You can purchase the consoles from the website or via telephone at the moment but they hope to get it into stores one day. They can either customise a newly purchased console or pick up your current console by an insured courier and return it in the same method.
They do every console and handheld at the moment as well as controllers. Prices range from 25 for the controllers, 60 from handhelds and consoles from 85. They do void the warrant in the process but Aliens Stole My Console offer to cover the warranty for a year after the customisation.
When asked about timescales the company stated that it will take no more than 14 days in total but will try and ensure it gets back to you as soon as possible. A customised Xbox 360 was on show and it looked very impressive. One will also soon be seen on Hollyoaks or if you happen to find yourself in the X-Factor house any time soon there is also a special X-Factor edition available there.
We managed to snap a few pictures while at The Golden Joystick Awards so stay tuned to the site and we'll upload them later.
