News: D.I.C.E. Summit Award Results

The annual Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences' D.I.C.E. Summit has recently been held, and the Annual Interactive Achievement Awards ("best of" awards) have been handed out.

The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences (AIAS) have held their annual D.I.C.E. summit at Green Valley Ranch in Las Vegas. The event is voted for by developers, publishers, press and other members of the industry.

Every year there is a ceremony for the winners of the Annual Interactive Achievement Awards, and this year was no exception. Despite some technical difficulties, such as the nominee clips were not able to be shown, the night was a success.

Comic book legend Stan Lee, of Spider-Man fame, was on hand to present the awards for game design and character/story development.

Meanwhile Sega had what could be described as a subtle attack on EA. After ESPN NFL 2K5 won the award for best 'Console Sports Simulation Game of the Year' they said they were delighted with the award, after having battling against a "huge gorilla".

Valve's table certainly had reason to crack out the champagne, winning nine awards during the night.

Nintendo won four awards during the night, which can be found below.
