News: Darkblack on the GameCube
Posted 13 Mar 2002 at 09:43 by Tim Symons
In development at the studio of the same name, Darkblack is a first-person horror game that takes place in a period when carnivorous alien creatures are roaming the planet.
Players will have to solve various puzzles and interact with different characters to figure out where the aliens came from and discover the main character's identity. The game will feature an edit option that will let players combine the in-game cinematics and footage of the progress they've made in the game so that the combination will play like a movie. In addition, the environments will be deformable, so they will be affected by large explosions or similar events. Darkblack will also use full 5.1 audio effects to fully immerse players in the environment.
Darkblack will be available on the GameCube, the PlayStation 2, and the Xbox. An official release date has not been announced.
We are currently trying to get our hands on screenshots of the GameCube version. As soon as we have more we will let you know!
