Cavia's upcoming Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles gets a Zapper bundle for Europe... and is that a Wi-Fi Connection logo we can see?
Capcom today revealed a release date, price and even special bundle for Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles.
The sequel to the 2007 light-gun game Umbrella Chronicles will hit American shelves on November 17th, retailing at $49.99. The game will hit Europe ten days later on November 27th. Also revealed for Europe (exclusively, at this point) is a special bundle for the game. Consumers can pick up Darkside Chronicles with the Wii Zapper, although no price point for this was announced.
Eagle-eyed readers will notice the blue Nintendo Wi-Fi connection logo on the box. Does this mean Capcom have been holding back a significant element to the game? We know online co-op is out, but online leaderboards would surely make sense for such a title.
Even so, we are going to take this very skeptically considering a similar situation saw Wii Sports Resort being promoted as a WiiConnect24-enabled product on the Nintendo Channel, leading many to expect a more substantial online portion in the game. Hopefully some clarification will be made by Capcom before long.
