Grab those retro red and blue glasses, for the 3D format has resurfaced in a new Wii game from Data Design Interactive.
Data Design Interactive have announced that they are to bring Battle Rage: The Robot Wars to the Wii as the first "real" 3D console game.
A pointless and overly-long plot involving the colonisation of space following the creation of robotic human shells, the inevitable near-extinction of the human race due to silly calculation errors, and the rise of criminal activity in a dystopian society eventually leads to the inevitable conclusion of having giant robots running around and beating the living daylights out of each other for the sake of reality TV. God bless planet Earth.
Up to four players will be able to fight either in a free-for-all match or in team battles in an arcade mode, which features a separate storyline for each robot, or in multiplayer battles.
There will be at least 8 starting robots to choose from, with 20 different weapons and 10 arenas to fight in.
Data Design have also promised that all of their future titles will indeed feature "real" 3D graphics, so you'd better start digging out those old ones that are most likely stuffed in your loft alongside your old Betamax player.
