The hardcore, nuclear strategy gem is coming to DS...

While DEFCON may not be a name that chimes with most gamers, the few who played the PC original will no doubt have fond memories. Original developer Introversion have revealed that they are bringing the game to DS. The game is currently left without a publisher since original publisher Pinnacle went under, but Intoversion still hope a company will step in to release the game this Autumn.

The original DEFCON is one of the overlooked gems of 2004. The PC game has a very simpe interface, but remains one of the most chilling experiences on the market. DEFCON is a War Games-inflected, World War Three strategy title. A game of Risk with nuclear weapons, if you will.

The original is hailed as a cult classic, so hopefully we won't be waiting too long before someone publishes the DS version.
