Warp Pipe creators have delayed DemaSked to 2005.
Chad Paulson, the creator of Warp Pipe for the Gamecube, has officially told Cube-Europe that his new DS online project (DemaSked) has been delayed until sometime next year. Chad isn't sure which quarter of 2005 it will be done, but he is sure the delay is for the best.
"Introducing a new concept is never an easy task. Instead of launching the first phase of demasked with limited functionality," Chad told Cube-Europe, "we are focusing expanding the scope of our licensee relationships and overall distribution platform. This will allow for increased consumer reach and product functionality. Although demasked will still be a gradual deployment, in terms of functionality, this news gives us the opportunity to convey much more about demasked and it's unique experience upon launch."
Chad has the worry of other companies stealing his spotlight if he decided to reveal details about DemaSked, which is why he chose not to. "Launching weak would allow someone else to pick up on our momentum, and that is something that has been cause of concern since certain companies have taken interest."
People may feel disappointed at this delay but its likely this could be the best possible news for all of us, simultaneous world release? We can only hope so...
