News: 'Demo Play' For New SMB Wii

Nintendo will implement their new "demo play" feature in the upcoming New Super Mario Bros. Wii...

Earlier this year we reported on how Nintendo were allegedly developing new game technology to streamline difficulty between non-gamers and gamers in their titles. Rumoured to be included in the next Zelda, it has been confirmed as present in the upcoming New Super Mario Bros. Wii, which had its debut at this year's E3.

Nintendo's legendary games designer shared the news with USA Today, saying that the "demo play" feature can be turned on/off when needed in the title:

"In New Super Mario Bros Wii, if a player is experiencing an area of difficulty, this will allow them to clear troubled areas and take over when they're ready," said Miyamoto. "And yes, we're looking into this for future games, too."

In other words, some in-game device will allow those having trouble to skip past the difficult bits. How do you feel about such a feature? Will you use it? Let us know below...
