Capcom brings their popular action series to Wii!

While the Samurai Warriors-esque Sengoku Basara series is not one you're probably too familiar with, it's reasoable following in Japan has made it one of Capcom's key franchises in the homeland. Word has recently got out that the third main game in the series headed for a Wii release in 2010.

While the only iteration in the Sengoku Basara series to see a release outside of Japan was the original 2005 title (releasing under the name 'Devil Kings'), what's interesting about this announcement is that Nintendo is reported to be playing a large role in handling the game's promotion in Japan. A very similar move is seeing Nintendo spread the word on Capcom's other threequel Monster Hunter 3 in North America. It looks like Nintendo and Capcom are getting very chummy at the moment indeed.
