Tomonobu Itagaki, the man behind Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden, is considering bringing Devil's Third to Wii U.

Former Team Ninja employee Tomonubu Itagaki is currently working on his first title with his new independent development company Valhalla Game Studios. Devil's Third is a third person shooter that also features combat elements and has so far been confirmed for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Speaking to Impress Watch, and translated by Andriasang, Mr. Itagaki has confirmed that the title won't be released until 2013 and is currently around 30% complete. However, he did have some interesting news for Nintendo fans. They are looking into also releasing it for the Nintendo Wii U and Mr. Itagaki is reportedly very excited about the prospect.

While Tomonubu Itagaki hadn't had a chance to try the system when he spoke to Impress Watch his first impressions upon its reveal was that it was designed with Japanese homes in mind. He notes that Japanese homes are small and television sets are limited and as such Nintendo has helped to make gaming portable, a "good idea" according to the developer.
