The second Dragon Quest remake for the DS, The Hand of the Heavenly Bride, has been confirmed for a Spring 2009 release in Europe.
Square Enix have confirmed that Enix's SNES RPG classic Dragon Quest V will be coming to Europe for the first time next year under the title Dragon Quest: The Hand of the Heavenly Bride.
Exclusively remade for the Nintendo DS, Hand of the Heavenly Bride is the second part of the Zenithia Trilogy (the first being Chapters of the Chosen, released back in September in Europe) and follows the story of a nameless hero who witnesses the death of his father at an early age, and slowly grows into a powerful warrior as the game progresses, building up to the moment when our hero can finally avenge his father's death.
Square Enix president John Yamamoto offered this highly insightful comment in relation to the news: "With this new entry in the DRAGON QUEST series, we hope game players of all ages will enjoy the DRAGON QUEST experience, following our hero through a lifetime of limitless adventures and great surprises."
Dragon Quest: Realms of Reverie, a remake of the sixth title in the acclaimed RPG series, will also be coming to Europe at some point in the near future. Dragon Quest: The Hand of the Heavenly Bride has been slated for a Spring 2009 release.
