News: Dragon Quest X Video Coming Soon

The wait for some tasty media of Dragon Quest X is almost over...

Despite being in development for well over two-and-a-half years now, we haven't seen a sausage of the Wii-exclusive Dragon Quest X. Development has been seemingly going smoothly, with series supremo Yuji Horii stating earlier this year that the team ere finishing up the final parts of the game, and that it was on-track to release on the original console it was announced for.

The good news is, we're set to get a glimpse of the game very soon. The Wii release Dragon Quest Collection - a compilation of the first three Dragon Quest games - will also come with a video of Dragon Quest X on the disc, according to Andriasang. That collection is set to release in Japan on September 15th, so that is the latest we can expect to see the first glimpse of the eagerly anticipated RPG.

We don't know the specifics of the video; whether it'll show gameplay or be a cruel teaser trailer that doesn't reveal much. It's worth noting though that Square Enix have done something similar to this in the past. The first fully-fledged trailer of Wii-exclusive Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers was bundled in with the Echoes of Time spin-off, although in that case, it was another ten months before the game actually hit Japanese shelves.

We'll have the mysterious video of Dragon Quest X as soon as it hits, so stay tuned.
