It seems Square-Enix have moments ago announced the next main Dragon Quest game will be on Wii!

Literally minutes ago, a Square-Enix conference in which all the main execs (including Iwata-san) were in attendance too place. What exactly went down there won't become clear until some professional translators get to work on this liveblog, but there's just one word on everybody's mouth at the moment.

Well, two words and a number. Those words are Dragon Quest and that number is ten. Dragon Quest X on Wii was unveiled by Yuji Horii, creator of the series, with a still-secretive video trailer.

No other details were announced of the title, but you can bet we'll be keeping tabs on this one for a while to come. In other news, the DS exclusive Dragon Quest IX will be hitting Japanese shelves on March 28th.

Is this the sign of a long-overdue shift in Square-Enix's priorities?
