Acording to CVG a source close to Driver 3 has said the game will be released Christmas next year. Note that Infogrames is yet to officially confirm the news.

Details for the game are scarce but we do know that players take on the role of Tanner in Driver, an undercover cop with spectacular cross-town racing skills. Driver 3 will also let the hero get out of cars and shoot stuff, a la Grand Theft Auto.
