News: DS Back On Top In Japan

The DS regains its position ahead of the newly redesigned PSP.
After three weeks at number two (the only weeks this year the DS has not been at the top spot), Nintendo's dual-screened wonder machine is back at the top of the Japanese hardware charts. The re-designed PSP Slim is relegated back to second place - but only just.
It'll be interesting to see whether the race between the two will be a lot closer, though it'll be a few weeks until the dust has settled properly and sales of the two rival handhelds settle down.
Elsewhere in the chart, the Wii's numbers dropped yet again, giving the console its lowest sales yet of the year, while sales of the newly released Dragon Ball Z: Sparking! Meteor on PS2 have boosted its sales to yet again rival those of its successor, the PS3.
Software-wise, the usual suspects of Pokémon on the DS and Final Fantasy on the PSP fill out the rest of the top spots, with the new DS title A.S.H.: Archaic Sealed Heat entering the chart in the top three with a decent 49,000 units sold in its first week.
