Nintendo have shown off Pokémon Battle Revolution for the Wii... playable using your DS!
Playing the upcoming Pokémon title for the Wii at the Nintendo World event in Japan, IGN have revealed that the title is playable using a DS for controls. For while the title is fully playable using the Wii-mote, the game is the first Wii title to make use of connectivity between Nintendo's next-gen console and the good old DS.
Alongside the standard function of uploading monsters from handheld versions of the title, the DS can wirelessly control the battles in game, where players can select attacks, targets, view statuses, switch out Pokemon and surrender via the stylus, leaving your TV screen free from any menus - only the health bars remain.
Regarding the battles themselves, its reported the game is a lot more life-like; announcers commentate on the action, the camera work is slick, and overall the presentation is more excitin than in the GameCube's Collosseum and its predecessors.
There's no word on the story mode as yet - we'll keep you updated on any new info as it breaks!
