News: DS English Trainer Site Open

The Japanese site for Nintendo's ambitious "English training" application is live.
It is no secret that the DS' success has in part been driven by interest from traditionally un-interested (in gaming that is) users. Producing software that can be easily picked up and enjoyed by these so-called "non-gamers" has certainly proven lucrative for Nintendo, and it is clear it is a market they plan to continue to support with new applications such as this English language trainer. Nintendo's Eigo ga Nigate na Otona no DS Training: Eigo Zuke website, complete with in-depth flash walk-thru of its features, is now live... and in Japanese in a tasty bit of irony. You can check it out here.
Perusing the site and its downloadable "gameplay" video should prove amusing to English speakers... but nevertheless, the software concept is rather cool (it is likely that plenty of Western gamers would give a similarly-themed Japanese Trainer a hard look) and just may prove to be another hit in Nintendo's growing stable of "Training" games.
Again, the site can be accessed here.
