Nintendo sees the DSi debut at the top of the Japanese hardware chart last week. But how much did it sell?
With 200,000 units of the DSi shipped for the handheld's initial week, it seems Nintendo managed to sell a very respectable 171,952 of them within the first seven days. 100,000 more units have already been shipped to keep supplies plentiful.
In response - a strong showing for Sony, whose PSP took second place with 50,358 units, and third place with the PS3 - recently buoyed by the release of LittleBigPlanet - beating the Wii by selling 39,587.
The Wii itself was left in fourth place for the first time this year with 23,123 units, followed by the regular DS Lite which sold 16,360 units. Microsoft's Xbox 360 continues to languish in last place however with 6,119 units, lagging behind even the aging PS2.
