News: DSi/XL Get Price Cuts In America

With Nintendo soon getting ready to roll out the 3DS, NOA announces a price-slash for the DSi and DSi XL...

Although the DS has established itself as one of the most successful consoles of all time, it looks like Nintendo are eager to wring every last dollar out of the machine, with a new price drop set to take effect before 3DS wagon starts rolling.

From September 12th, US retailers will slash the price of the DSi and DSi XL models by $20, leaving the former with a RRP of $149.99, and it's larger sibling at $169.99. The DS Lite is to remain at $129.99.

The price cuts will come into effect just a couple of weeks before Nintendo are rumoured to lay down release plans for the 3DS successor on September 29th.
