News: EA CEO Regrets Not Backing Wii Better

Electronic Art's CEO say the company has backed the "wrong horse" by concentrating so much on the Xbox 360 and PS3...

Despite a decent level of support from the world's biggest third-party developer, Electronic Art's CEO John Riccietello has lamented not backing the Wii more, as he claimed that the fiscal year 2007 was "toughest year in the company's history."

He has admitted that the company under-estimated how quickly people have taken to the Wii-mote and Nunchuck controls, with the popularity of Nintendo's console beyond their expectations.

Naming the PS3 and Xbox 360 the "wrong horse" to concentrate mainly on, Riccetello regrets putting less resources towards the Wii. This can only mean more focus from EA in the future.
