John Riccitiello admits to have miscalculated Wii's success and talks about present and future Nintendo support.

In an interview with MCV, John Riccitiello, CEO of Electronic Arts admits that it was a mistake to bet on Xbox 360 and PS3, which they thought beforehand would be the market leaders. This made the transition of support over to Wii difficult, though Riccitiello says that "now we're catching up, and I think we're fine".

He stated that in addition to the incoming Wii and DS titles, he wishes to continue pushing EA's market share on both Wii and DS, commenting: "Can I make a big step in that direction this year? Yes. Can I continue to make steps in that pattern? Yes. Does Nintendo want us to do it? Yes. Does the platform set itself up for that to be possible? Yes. So, it requires focus."
