News: EA Have 15 Wii Games In Development

EA also plan to significantly increase support for Nintendo platforms.

Ahh, EA. The marmite of the videogames industry. They're either loved by fans, or rejected for their 'yearly updates.'

However, if it's one thing they've shown for the Wii, it is support. From Need for Speed: Carbon, to the acclaimed Madden 07, which sports some fantastic uses for the Wiimote. There are also other promising titles lined up for just the first half of 2007 alone, including SSX Blur and Tiger Woods 07

To top things off, the CEO stated that EA already has 15 titles in development for Wii at this point. From the looks of it, Wii may be just what the doctor ordered for Nintendo sports fans.

Wowzers. 15? This is just the kind of third party support that Nintendo needs, and with the likes of Ubisoft also following suit, could Nintendo be turning things around when it comes to attracting third party support?

The EA CEO (Larry Probst) also said: "We are pleased with the performance of our products on next-generation consoles. In the year ahead, we plan to build on our leadership position on both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3, and to significantly increase our support for the Nintendo platforms."
