News: EA Pledges Support For Nintendo

E3 excitement sees extra production from the software giants.

Let's face it. EA are not the most loved developers or publishers in the world of gaming. Often heavily criticised for their yearly updates of games like Fifa, they also appear to be suffering somewhat on the financial front.

While revenues have been up by 13% from last year, net loss has also increased in the same period, from $58 million to $81 million.

However, EA have trying hard to get back into people's good books. After seeing the excitement over Nintendo's systems at E3, they appear to have moved up a gear in terms of producing games for these systems.

An EA executive stated: "We have ramped up [game] production for the Wii and DS Lite' following significant excitement over the Nintendo-created consoles at E3. First party Wii titles won't be more than $49.99"

Although only two launch games for the Wii will come from EA (these titles are Need for Speed: Carbon and Madden), we can honestly say that it will not be long before we see more titles from EA hitting Nintendo's systems in the future.
