News: EA Sports Removes Manuals & Goes Green

EA Sports is doing its bit for the environment by removing manuals from upcoming games.

Any EA Sports titles you purchase in the future will be on the lighter side as the company has decided to remove manuals from its upcoming games. In a bid to help the environment, as well as save on printing costs, EA Sports has stopped including manuals, starting with Fight Night Champion, which was released earlier in the month.

Rob Semsey, a spokesman for EA Sports, confirmed the decision to Kotaku. All of their future games will now include manuals built into the games and many feature tutorials that essentially replace the need for manuals.

Ubisoft removed manuals for their PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 titles last year, starting with Shaun White Skateboarding. It is highly likely that more companies will begin to remove manuals in the future to help cut down costs and prevent trees from being cut down.
